Privacy policy
Your privacy matters, especially around something as personal as quitting. This explains what we collect, why, and what we do with it. Last updated June 5, 2026.
Who we are
Quit for Good is a Canadian wellness service helping people step away from smoking, vaping, alcohol, cannabis, and sugar. This policy covers the website at quitforgood.ca. If you have a question about your information, you can reach us through the contact details on the site.
What we collect
Information you give us. When you complete the questionnaire to find your plan, we collect the answers you choose and the contact details you enter: your name, email, phone number, and general location. We also store which program was recommended to you. If you ask for a callback, we record that request so we can return your call.
Information collected automatically. When you visit, we record basic technical information such as your browser type and the pages you move through, so we can understand how the site is working and where people get stuck. We measure your progress through the questionnaire using an anonymous, randomly generated session label that is not linked to your name or contact details.
Where you came from. If you reach us by clicking an online ad or a tracked link, the link may carry tags (for example a Google click identifier, or campaign tags) that tell us which ad or source sent you. We store these with your enquiry so we know which of our efforts are helping people find us. We do not use this to build a profile of you or to follow you around the web.
What we do not collect here
This website does not ask for, and you should never enter, payment card numbers, banking details, government identification, or health record numbers. Any payment or detailed medical intake happens later, directly with the clinic, through their own secure process.
How we use your information
- To show you a recommended plan and the next steps.
- To contact you about your enquiry, including calling or texting you back when you ask us to.
- To improve the website by seeing, in aggregate, how far people get and where they drop off.
- To understand which ads and referral sources bring people to us, so we spend our marketing budget responsibly.
We do not sell your personal information.
Cookies and tracking
We keep this light. We do not set advertising cookies on this site. The questionnaire uses your browser's temporary session storage to remember your answers and the anonymous session label while you are filling it out. That information clears when you close the tab. We may use a bot-protection check (Cloudflare Turnstile) on the form to keep spam out, which is privacy-respecting and does not track you across the web.
Who we share it with
We share your details only with the people and services needed to help you quit and to run the site:
- The clinic and coaching team who will deliver your program and follow up with you.
- Service providers who run our infrastructure on our behalf, such as our website and database host (Cloudflare), our email delivery provider, and our phone and text provider, used only to operate the service.
We may disclose information if the law requires it. Otherwise, your details stay with us and our service providers.
Advertising platforms
We advertise on platforms such as Google. When you arrive from an ad, the platform may know that a click led to an enquiry so it can report on ad performance. We follow the advertising rules of these platforms, and we do not share sensitive details about your specific habits with them for targeting.
How long we keep it
We keep your enquiry and contact details for as long as needed to help you and to keep proper business records, then we remove or anonymize them. Anonymous, aggregate website measurements may be kept longer because they are not tied to you.
Your choices
You can ask us to show you the information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. You can also ask us to stop contacting you at any time, and we will. To make any of these requests, contact us using the details on the site.
Children
This service is for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under the age of majority in their province.
Changes
If we update this policy, we will change the date at the top. Significant changes will be made clear on this page.
A note on medical care. Quit for Good supports quitting and does not replace medical advice or treatment. Nothing on this site is a diagnosis or a guarantee of results. If you are physically dependent on alcohol or another substance, please speak with your doctor before making a change.
